DISC HERNIATION

Intervertebral Discs
Spongy cushions are located between the vertebrae or bones in your spinal column.

These discs act as shock absorbers for the spine and have soft, gel-like centers and a firmer outer layer, like a jelly doughnut.

Herniated Disc
This happens when the inner “jelly” substance pushes through the crack in the outer layer. The leaked material may press on nearby spinal nerves causing pain.

DISC HERNIATION

Prolonged sitting in a slumped posture can cause increased disc pressure and wear and tear on the outer layer of the disc. Anthros has designed an adjustable 2-part back system that can support most individual body types. The low back pelvis support works with the upper back to promote an upright posture reducing the risks of poor posture- back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, hip pain and more.

 

LOWER BACK PELVIS SUPPORT

The patented lower back pelvis support captures and stabilizes the pelvis, the foundation of high performance sitting.  By doing this, the natural curves of the spine are kept intact. When you support the pelvis, the lumbar region is naturally supported with it and the postural muscles can relax.

 

TAPERED UPPER BACK SUPPORT

The upper back support can be adjusted to meet the mid/upper back, supporting an upright optimal posture. The tapered shape allows shoulders to be pulled back in sitting to maintain optimal posture when actively working.
