How The Scientific Method Guides Anthros

The scientific method is a systematic approach to research that involves making observations, forming hypotheses, and testing those hypotheses through experiments. It is the foundation of scientific inquiry and has been used for centuries to study the natural world and make discoveries that have changed our understanding of the world and how it works.

There are several reasons why the scientific method is so valuable. First and foremost, it allows us to gather reliable and accurate information about the world around us. By using controlled experiments, we can be sure that the results we observe are not simply due to chance or random variability but are actually caused by the factors we are studying. This is important because it allows us to build a solid foundation of knowledge that we can rely on when making decisions or trying to understand complex phenomena.

Another reason why the scientific method is valuable is that it is objective and unbiased.

It is designed to minimize the influence of personal beliefs or biases on the results of a study, and to ensure that the findings are based on solid evidence and not just personal opinions or subjective observations. This is important because it helps to ensure that our understanding of the world is based on facts and not just on what we want to believe.

Finally, the scientific method is valuable because it allows us to continuously test and refine our understanding of the world. As new evidence is gathered and new discoveries are made, our understanding of the world can change and evolve. This allows us to build on our existing knowledge and continue to make progress in understanding the world around us.

Anthros has taken this tried-and-true approach and used the scientific method to validate the claims about our groundbreaking chair. First we asked the question: Why is everyone dissatisfied with their ergonomic chairs?

  • 1 Based on existing research and sitting expertise we made the observation that people are generally dissatisfied with their current office chairs.

  • 2 Based on this observation, we asked the question: Can we design the world’s best office chair?

  • 3 We formed three hypotheses that the new office chair would reduce spinal disc pressure, improve posture, and be the most comfortable, lowest pressure seat cushion based on the unique design.

  • 4 To test our hypotheses, we used 3D human modeling as well as ISO standardized bench testing to measure and compare spinal disc pressure as well as seat pressure, contact area, and shear.

  • 5 We analyzed the results of the experiments and found that the Anthros chair was indeed more comfortable and provided better support than the other chairs. This supported our hypotheses and allowed us to confidently make the claims about the chair.

By using the scientific method, we were able to validate our claims about the new Anthros chair and have confidence in the reliability of our findings. This allows us to make informed decisions about the chair and communicate the benefits of the chair to potential customers with confidence.

If you are looking to improve posture while sitting, look no further than Anthros. Anthros is the only chair in the world that is guaranteed to improve posture, or your money back. The science-backed, patented design, is registered with the FDA as a posture-improving chair and is proven to have the lowest pressure (most comfortable) cushion on the planet (verified by university testing).

Take the next step to reducing pain, increasing comfort, and maximizing performance!
