"Getting up from a 10 hour gaming session without feeling pain"
I looked at, and listened to, the research about pelvic vs lumbar support. I watched the Anthros videos explaining the benefits of the chair design. And I saw photos showing the difference in strain when compared with a mesh chair.
But the truth is - that it took literally a few seconds of sitting in the chair (after the setup adjustments) to immediately feel the difference. And then getting up from a 10 hour gaming session without feeling pain - to call a friend and ask them if they want my Herman Miller Aeron.

Best investment I’ve made.

"The comfort of this chair is unmatched"

"This chair blows the socks off my Aeron chairs"
I sit a lot. Probably way too much. But as a consulting engineer, it's part of how I make a living. Every day, I sit in front of a computer, or around a conference table, or in a room. Often, the chairs I sit in are out of my control. Except for the chairs I have in my office and studio.
Over the years, I have come to appreciate the importance of a good chair. I have had some clunkers - and also some good ones, including some Herman Miller Equa chairs, and for the last decade or so a pair of Herman Miller Aeron chairs.
This chair blows the socks off my Aeron chairs. It's comfortable, it looks cool, and it helps me sit right. We all know the importance of good posture, but I hate being reminded. It's like being back in grade school, being chastised by Sister Upyours: Stop talking, sit up straight, tuck in your shirt, and wipe that smile off your face.
This chair reminds me how to sit right without being a nudge. It's like having an angel right here in my office - someone looking out for my best interests - a mix of massage therapist / performance coach / and mom. It gives me everything I want and need in a chair. All that is missing is the oatmeal cookies.

“There isn't enough emphasis on how important a good chair is”
Much like a good couch or mattress for those of us who spend a lot of time in front of a computer the amount of time in a chair cannot be understated. If you want to make a solid health conscious decision get an ergo chair. I agree that there are some other entry level options (please don't get anything labeled "gaming") such as the Steelcase Leap or Herman Miller Aeron if you're looking to just get your "end game" chair the Anthros is truly unrivaled. Unless the company disappears I don't see myself being without one ever again and should that day ever come I'll be sure to try and stock up on a few spares and keep them in storage!

“Love my chair so much I had to return the Herman Miller Embody after sitting on the Anthros.”
Those gamer embody chairs seem to ache a ton of tailbones in the community, mine just made my lumbar pain worse. This chair does not leave me feeling as stiff getting up as my Aeron/embody. Simon provided next level customer support leaving a good impression about the whole experience. I can tell they care about helping people out. Most comfortable computer ergonomic chair ever. True gamers must. The only reason this is not a perfect 5 stars is due to lack of neck support. Having a neck injury I find myself needing the support that the third party company (Atlas Headrest) provided on my Embody. Not everyone is like this and you may be use to not having neck support on your chair. It may Be your perfect 5 stars

Best thing I came across in my Instagram feed!

"I have tried many different office chairs"
I have tried many different office chairs. The last one was the HM Mirra 2 which was decent, but I was on the search for something that wouldn’t hurt my sit bones, and wouldn’t allow pain to creep in. The first couple of days with the Anthros chair were an adjustment period. I had some pain in my shoulder blades. I backed off the back supports and took a more relaxed approach. I realized it would take some time to learn to sit better than I had been, and it wasn’t going to happen overnight. Since then I have been making adjustments throughout the day and have been doing great! The seat is so much more comfortable than a mesh bottom. I can definitely sit for a longer period of time without pain. I knew going in that this design was different from anything else out there, and I’m so happy I decided to take a chance on Anthros. It really makes a difference and is SO worth it!

"I've had my Anthros chair for a year now"
I've had my Anthros chair for a year now. I use it almost every day and I love it. For 15 years I sat in a Herman Miller Aeron and thought it was about the best it could get for my back, but the Anthros has been far better. I've had no back pain. I can sit in it for hours without needing to adjust myself. It is very high quality, looking and feeling now as it did when I first got it. My son has one too and every few months we remark to each other how glad we are that we bought them.

"One of the best office chairs I have ever sat on"
One of the best office chairs I have ever sat on, hands down. I've sat in Herman Miller and Steelcase chairs, and none of them have come close to this in terms of comfort and enabling me to sit with good posture. I can sit in this chair for hours without pain. My only two minor complaints: 1) if you're a more petite person, it can be difficult to engage the tilting mechanism on the chair; 2) I vastly prefer being able to swivel, but the 5-spoke chair legs do make it a bit more cumbersome to use a footrest because they keep banging into it. If those two things were fixed, this would go from an awesome to the perfect chair!

"If your on the fence (like I was) invest in your health and fix your sit! "
I have been searching far and wide for a new office chair. Ive tried a few lower budget chairs (Laura Furniture and Branch chairs) as well as a few Herman Miller's on the higher end of office chairs. Anthros blew it out the water with this one. Comfortable is an understatement, whatever sorcery they used on the seat cushion needs to be applied everywhere. If your on the fence (like I was) invest in your health and fix your sit! Thank you Anthros!

"The design is revolutionary, and supports me in ways Herman Miller and others have been unable to accomplish"
I recently purchased my Anthros chair from Relax the Back store in Scottsdale. AZ. What a great experience and what an a amazing chair. The reviewers whom complain about quality are wrong in my opinion, the chair is very well built. The design is revolutionary, and supports me in ways Herman Miller and others have been unable to accomplish. Yes, is takes a few days to 1-2 weeks to really understand and break in the chair for you and your body. If you are patient, learn how to set up chair for your body, you will be very pleased with your chair. Give the Anthros chair a try with confidence!

"Best investment I've made"
Best investment I've made. The complimentary call with a specialist to advise on best fit was the cherry on top. I own both the Herman Miller Embody and Aeron, and they have nothing on this chair. Full disclosure I've been working from home for over a decade, and finding the perfect chair has not been easy. Best investment I've made.

"This chair will make you mad at all other chairs"
This chair will make you mad at all other chairs that lack the same back/pelvic support because while sitting in anything else you'll be missing your Anthros. It's not *quite* perfect (less rounded armrests and a bit more seat depth would make this even more amazing), but it's the best office chair out there. I tried a Herman Miller Embody, a Steelcase Gesture, a Haworth Fern - twice!, a Haworth Zody, a SecretLabs Titan, and a Humanscale Freedom; so I'm not making the claim that this is the best chair out there lightly!
Customer support was also amazing, as are the little extra touches in areas like packaging/shipping. I've had it for a month and a half and genuinely find most other seating uncomfortable by comparison now. As a software developer and a gamer, I spend more time than I should in a chair, even with frequent breaks, stretches, and using a standing desk at times. This helps immensely with comfort during those activities and I'm extremely happy with the purchase.

"I seem to prefer the Anthros chair to these other 2 fantastic chairsl"
Previous to the Anthros, for over 10 years I've sat in a Herman Miller Embody' chair at my home workstation, while using a Lifeform ˜Executive High Back' chair from Relax the Back at my office.
Upon first impression, I seem to prefer the Anthros chair to these other 2 fantastic chairs, for the following reasons:
1) The lumbar support (more a pelvic support than lumbar) can be adjusted forward more than any other chair I've sat in—-so much so that it can change your posture while sitting.
2) The mid/high back support can be adjusted (fwd/back, and resistance) independently of the lumbar/pelvic support, allowing the chair to be far more customizable in terms of its form and support than the other two chairs mentioned above.
3) The seat is comfy, with good padding.
4) The leather upholstery feels very high-quality, as does the general weight and build of the chair.
5) It's a good looking chair. I never thought I'd find a better LOOKING chair than the Embody, and while the jury's still out, the look of the Anthros chair is growing on me. I like how the back supports appear as though they are floating.

"This chair has been a GAME CHANGER!"
This chair has been a GAME CHANGER! As someone who suffered for 9 years with 2 bulging discs tried over 6 different chairs including the famous Herman Miller (Which didn't help) the Anthros chair is the first chair I could easily recommend to anyone with back pain. I can now sit for long periods at work with 0 concern for pain getting up or the end of an 8 hour day. It also allows me to continue my rehabilitation knowing sitting at work isn't holding back my recovery!

"The Anthros chair in particular provides superior support for the pelvis"
As someone with a desk-bound occupation, I emphasize the significance of having an ergonomic chair. Over the years I've relied on the widely recognized Herman Miller Aeron chairs both in my workplace and at home even purchasing one for myself when transitioning to remote work. However approximately six months ago I was fortunate to receive the Anthros chair as a gift and it has since become my primary seating choice at home while I still use the Aeron occasionally at the office. In comparing the two I've observed a notable contrast in lower back support. The Anthros chair in particular provides superior support for the pelvis thereby preventing my lower back from rounding which is a significant improvement over the Aeron. Additionally I must commend the Anthros chair for its excellent build quality. The packaging is remarkably robust flawlessly surviving transatlantic shipping and the unboxing experience is truly next level.

"It is worth every penny!"
I bought this chair for my husband as he sits in his chair all day. Previously, he had a top of the line Herman Miller chair. He said his new Anthros chair is not only worlds better, but it also makes him more conscious of his posture even when he's not sitting in his chair. He said it is the most comfortable office chair he has ever sat in. It is worth every penny! Thank you!

"Anthros is the reason why I show up at the office on a daily basis"
Anthros is the reason why I show up at the office on a daily basis!
I've long sat on a lot of different chairs, from the basic, cheap ones you can find at Ikea, to moving to the Herman Miller Aeron for a while thinking that it's really the best you can get out there after hearing all my friends rave about it and then pulling the trigger and getting it for my home office.
I still had back pain and was constantly shifting around in my chair during the day, or taking breaks to go stand up and do something else instead of having 100% focus.
We decided to get Anthros chairs for the office and it was love at first sit! The cushioning is next-level and you really don't have a feeling that you're even sitting. It's like the chair is holding your body in it's perfect, most natural position and I can do this for hours. No fidgeting, no back pain, no leg stiffness, just forgetting you even have bodyweight, if that even makes sense?
Also, a shoutout to Ashley from the team who helped me dial in the chair perfectly! I honestly wasn't expecting this to be part of the service when we got the chairs.
So, I've been going into the office a lot more lately.. Even with the commute, it's worth it, I'm getting more productive time, absolute comfort and not getting any back pain anymore like I did with the Aeron. The mesh looks cool, yeah, but honestly, this is so much more comfortable and it's worth every penny!
I would rather give up 90% of my work gear than give this chair up ever again!

"If you're looking to just get your "end game" chair the Anthros is truly unrivaled"

"Anthros chair completely eliminated my back pain strengthened my core muscles and improved my posture"
I was having back pain and could not sit on any chair. Any chair was causing me back pain when the back of the chair was pressing on my back. My Herman Miller Aeron and Steelcase Leap V2 chairs both caused me back injuries from the back of the chair pressing against my back. The Anthros chair completely eliminated my back pain strengthened my core muscles and improved my posture (other things that helped with the back pain were getting a good firm mattress a good lumbar support pillow for other chairs and car seat exercise and the BetterBack gift that came with the chair). Here are the good and not so good things about the chair: The Good - 1. The back of the Anthros chair is perfect. It completely eliminated my back pain. It is very comfortable and I have no back pain at all when sitting on it. It makes me sit straight in a perfect posture and it feels really good for my back. 2. The back of the chair encourages me to sit straight with a perfect posture without leaning back against the back of the chair. This strengthened my abdomen and back muscles and helped me be more aware of maintaining a good posture which improved my posture when standing and walking. 3. The chair is very comfortable and has a bouncy memory foam padding. It is more comfortable than any other office chair that I've sat on. 4. The seat is comfortable. 5. The back recline option is great and it feels very relaxing to lean back and rest in that position. 6. The installation was relatively fast and easy. 7. My chair looks very nice with the white color and the wood on the back. It looks better than most office chairs. The bad (Anthros please work to improve these issues) - 1. The seat is too high. My chair is set to the minimum height. I'm 6 feet tall and this is the only office chair I've ever sat on where my heels are not touching the floor even when the chair is set to the minimum height. I'm using the footrest that Anthros sent that raises my legs a few inches at an angle but it would be better if my feet could press firmly against the floor instead. I should also mention that with the footrest I had to raise my standing desk a little higher to have space for my knees. I am lucky that I have a standing desk with adjustable height and could do this. But some people who have a regular desk might not have enough room for their knees with the footrest depending on the height of the desk. 2. The 4D arms are hard and uncomfortable. They put a hard uncomfortable and even painful pressure on my elbows or bottom of the arms that they press against. They are especially uncomfortable if my arms press against the sides of the 4D arms for example when I put my hands on my lap and the sides of the arms press hard against the bottom of my arms. I got $20 Aloudy memory foam armrest pads from Amazon. I put them over the 4D arms to have a softer padding. I hightly hightly recommend Anthros to redesign the 4D arms with a softer padding that feels comfortable when it presses against the arms.

"The anthros chair isn't just a chair, it's not just something trending in the industry, it's wholeheartedly a huge step in the right direction for the working and gaming industry"
This chair speaks for itself. I've sat in commercial "high end" chairs such as the Herman Miller Aeron chair, excitedly, thinking it was going to be amazing, but to find out it wasn't improving my well-being nor benefiting me in anyway. In face it left me in pain over the duration. Now I'm not saying it's a bad company, I still highly look and recommend Herman Miller, just not their office chairs.
The anthros chair isn't just a chair, it's not just something trending in the industry, it's wholeheartedly a huge step in the right direction for the working, gaming, etc industry. It's beneficial to the working class and will improve the wellbeing of each person who wants to correct their posture and wellbeing as a whole. This isn't a fading trend, I can't emphasize that enough. Once industries recognize what this chair will do long term, I pray they stop spending their money on low quality, short termed, no life cycle chairs and start investing on the well being of their employees, family, friends, whomever. This chair will change lives, be willing to change yours.

" Best chair I have ever had"
Best chair I have ever had; beats out Herman Miller Aeron. Anthros hands down.

"The Anthros chair is by far the most comfortable office chair my husband has ever sat in"
The Anthros chair is by far the most comfortable office chair my husband has ever sat in. He had a top of the line Herman Miller chair previously. His posture is better and his back no longer hurts after sitting all day. This is the best purchase we have ever made. It is well worth the cost.

"I've noticed an improvement in my posture my low back pain is easing and I don't run into any numbness"
I recently upgraded from a Herman Miller Sayl chair which I've had for about a decade. I had spinal surgery to repair a herniated disc and found that the lumbar support just wasn't enough. Additionally the seat hit in just the wrong spot and I would end up with numbness if I sat for too long. I've had my Anthros chair for a couple of weeks now and while it does take a little getting used to I've noticed an improvement in my posture my low back pain is easing and I don't run into any numbness. The depth of the seat is perfect and setting up an appointment with their PT to dial in the seat settings just so is priceless! That 15 minutes really helped and now my husband wants one too!

"The anthros chair has been able to help me sit for extended periods of time"
The Anthros chair truly delivers on its promises and in my opinion is really worth the price for anyone looking to improve their posture and health over the long term. As someone with really broad shoulders I've struggled finding the perfect fit for me and previously had various gaming chairs and a Herman Miller embody that actually harmed my posture more than helped it by forcing my shoulders to cave forward. The open upper back support of the Anthros chair is the complete opposite of it and gives me freedom while sitting down. The cushion is also extremely supportive and comfortable and the pelvic support helps keep me in an upright position with no effort at all! Using chairs with lumbar support in the past I'd always end up starting to slouch after sitting for too long. The anthros chair has been able to help me sit for extended periods of time with good posture with no effort at all and I would recommend it for anyone spending a large amount of hours on the computer.

"This chair is the first to alleviate all my complaints "
First off, I have consistently been searching for a good chair for my back for the last four years. I have tried all the high end chairs, Herman Miller, Steelcase, etc. This chair is the first to alleviate all my complaints with those namely, a very uncomfortable seat, lumbar support that does more harm than good, and a large backrest that forces your shoulders forward. Oh, and they all seem to be made with stiff, pain-inducing plastic. Bravo Anthros!

"I am happy to say this chair has resolved all of that and I couldn't recommend it more highly!"
I researched and bought this chair after having a lot of hip and hamstring pain with my Herman Miller Aeron chair. I am happy to say this chair has resolved all of that and I couldn't recommend it more highly!

"This chair has been amazing, helping my back issues, sciatica and herniated discs."
Coming from a Herman Miller Aeron remastered with a 3rd party headrest. This chair has been amazing, helping my back issues, sciatica and herniated discs. Had an issue with the tilt and seat and a replacement was sent immediately. Very excellent customer service, appreciate the quick response and replies. Would buy again

"Bottom line: if you're looking for a chair to supercharge your workday and you're okay with a bit of sticker shock, the Anthros is the one."
My Anthros Chair Review: Productivity Game-Changer!
From the moment I plopped down in the Anthros Chair, I knew I was in for something special. This chair doesn't just invite you to sit; it demands you sit right. The upright, ready-to-work posture it promotes is unmatched perfect for tackling 12-14 hour days without feeling like a human pretzel by the end of it. Pair it with the complimentary footstool, and you've got yourself a productivity throne.
Now, let's address the elephant in the room: the price. Yes, it's expensive. Yes, I balked at first. But here's the thing it's absolutely worth it. If you're spending most of your life in a chair (and who isn't these days?), investing in one that actually supports you is a no-brainer.
I've tried a parade of chairs before landing on this gem. The Branch Ergonomic Pro? Hardest seat ever, like sitting on plywood with delusions of grandeur. The Herman Miller Aeron? Great for lounging, but it can't touch Anthros when it comes to all-day comfort. And let's not even talk about the Amazon roulette of budget chairs.
The Anthros build quality is top-notch. Assembly was so easy I almost felt guilty for how good the chair is. Plus, thoughtful touches like the cylinder removal tool (in case it ever needs replacing) show this chair was designed with real people in mind.
Now, it's not all roses. The arm pads move around a bit too much for my liking, and it'd be great if they could swing out of the way for guitar practice. Also, this chair is strictly business it's not the cushiest for kicking back during long Teams calls. But hey, you can't have everything, right?
Bottom line: if you're looking for a chair to supercharge your workday and you're okay with a bit of sticker shock, the Anthros is the one. Trust me your back (and productivity) will thank you.

"I spent like 6 months of research trying to find the perfect chair."
I spent like 6 months of research trying to find the perfect chair. I suffer from lower back pain from years of Jiu-Jitsu and that was one of my main point. I probably sat in every single competitor's chair. There is from Herman Miller to Steelcase, to human scale. And let me tell you this chair was above and beyond the best for my needs. I'm not going to take away anything from the other chairs. Some of them were more comfortable to chill out and rest. But if you are going to use this chair to work or fit long hours than I think there's no other competition. Besides that, all the parts are modular so as they come out with new things you can upgrade them

"Love my chair so much I had to return the Herman Miller Embody after sitting on the Anthros."
Love my chair so much I had to return the Herman Miller Embody after sitting on the Anthros. Those gamer embody chairs seem to ache a ton of tailbones in the community, mine just made my lumbar pain worse. This chair does not leave me feeling as stiff getting up as my Aeron / embody.

"The Anthros chair has helped relieve and reduce the constant lower back and hip pain"
The Anthros chair has helped relieve and reduce the constant lower back and hip pain I was having while using a Herman Miller Aeron chair after about 30 days. Worth trying since it has a 30 day return period.
