7 reasons why Anthros might not be for you
You know when you’re shopping for something, and you find what seems like “the one”—but then you start reading the details and realize, “Wait, maybe this isn’t the best fit for me after all?” Well, that could be the case with the Anthros chair, and we want to help you out!
Don’t get me wrong—this chair is amazing with its innovative design. It’s like nothing you’ve ever felt before in terms of posture and comfort. But like all great things, it’s not for everyone. So, let’s take a closer look at who might want to hit pause before investing in an Anthros chair.
If You’re Under 5 Feet Tall
Anthros was designed for most heights and shapes, but if you’re at the shorter end of the spectrum, this may not be for you.
If you’re under 5 feet tall, you might find yourself struggling to sit comfortably, with your feet not fully touching the floor or your back not properly aligned with the chair’s support.
Your comfort is important, and a chair that doesn’t fit well could mess with your posture rather than help it.
If You’re Over 6’8”
On the flip side, if you’re on the other end of the spectrum towering over the rest of us at 6’8” or taller, you might feel like you’re perched on a stool rather than lounging in a comfy chair.
The Anthros chair has its size limits, and if you’re on the taller end of the spectrum, you may not get the full benefits it promises. You deserve something that accommodates your height without making you feel like a giant in a little chair!
IF You prefer to sit with poor posture
If sitting up straight and maintaining a healthy spine isn’t high on your list of priorities, the Anthros chair might feel like an over-engineered piece of furniture.
This chair is intentionally designed to support good posture and reduce strain, but if you’re the type who slouches and slumps with abandon, you may find it annoying how the chair gently reminds you to sit well.
There are plenty of chairs out there for casual lounging, but this one’s built for good posture while tasking.
If You Don’t Like Trying New Things
The Anthros chair is different. It supports you in ways traditional chairs don’t, and that might be uncomfortable for some at first. It’s like switching to a new pair of shoes—you have to break it in and get used to the feeling.
If you prefer the “tried and true” route and don’t like exploring new experiences, you might not appreciate how this chair challenges you to sit differently.
If You Can’t Imagine Sitting in Anything But Mesh
Mesh chairs are popular for a reason—they’re breathable, lightweight, and may keep you cool. If you’re a die-hard fan of the mesh life, the Anthros chair might not meet your expectations.
Anthros uses the highest quality foam, contours that match the human body, and pressure relieving cut-outs designed to eliminate high peak pressures while sitting well.
While its materials are the highest-quality, it’s not a mesh chair, and the difference will be noticeable. If you can’t get past that, it’s worth sticking with what you love.
If You Want a Chair That Reclines Flat
Looking for a chair to nap in? Well, the Anthros chair isn’t a recliner. Sure, it has tilt and adjustable features to enhance comfort and customize support, but it doesn’t recline flat like a lounge chair.
This is built for working, focusing, and sitting actively—not kicking back for a snooze between Zoom calls. If you’re after a chair to take naps in, there are better options out there.
If you require a head support
If you are used to using a headrest, Anthros may not be for you. Anthros chairs are made with a thorough expertise of how to support the human body to optimize spinal and head alignment when seated. When positioned in this way, a head support isn’t needed as it should be perfectly balanced.
Again, we designed a task chair, so if you are needing a headrest for a reclined position, you may want to find a better option.
Is the Anthros Chair Right for You?
If you don’t see yourself in any of the above categories, the Anthros chair might just be your new best friend! It’s designed to prioritize your body’s health, enhance your posture, and support you in ways that few other chairs can.
But if you can relate strongly with any of the statements above, it’s worth considering other options.
After all, the right chair is out there for everyone—it’s just about finding the one that fits you perfectly.
